Privacy Policy

Last updated June 26, 2026

Psalm Radio is a non-profit ministry. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run the station, your account, and the community features — and we don’t sell your information. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

  • Account details. When you sign up we store your name, email address, and a securely hashed password. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile image from Google.
  • Payment information. Memberships and gifts are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card number — Stripe handles payment data directly. We keep a reference to your Stripe customer and payment so we know your membership status.
  • Community activity. Ratings, favorites, comments, your public profile (display name, bio, location), and any super-band collaboration application you submit.
  • Technical data. Basic log and session information needed to keep you signed in and to operate and secure the service.

How we use it

  • To provide the broadcast, your account, and downloads.
  • To process memberships and one-time gifts.
  • To power community features — showing your ratings, comments, and public profile to other listeners.
  • To review collaboration applications and contact you about performing with the band.
  • To keep the service secure and working properly.

What others can see

Your public profile, comments, ratings, and favorites are visible to other listeners. Your email address, payment details, and the private details of a collaboration application are not shown publicly — a collaboration application is visible only to you and to site administrators reviewing it.

Service providers

We share data only with the providers that make the site work: Stripe (payments) and Google (optional sign-in). Each handles your data under its own privacy policy. We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Cookies & sessions

We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. It’s essential to the service — without it you couldn’t stay logged in. We don’t use third-party advertising trackers.

Your choices

  • Edit or clear your public profile any time from your account.
  • Delete your own comments.
  • Request a refund of your one-time membership by emailing us.
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account and associated data by emailing us.

Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active. If you ask us to delete your account, we remove your personal data and the community content tied to it, except where we’re required to retain certain records (for example, payment records kept by Stripe for tax and accounting).

Children

Psalm Radio isn’t directed to children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us data, contact us and we’ll remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the ministry grows. When we do, we’ll revise the “Last updated” date above.
